أَسْتَيْقِظُ فِي السَّاعَةِ السَّابِعَةِ. أَشْرَبُ الْمَاءَ وَآكُلُ الْخُبْزَ وَالْجُبْنَ. ثُمَّ أَتَّصِلُ بِأُمِّي. هِيَ فِي مَدِينَةٍ أُخْرَى. أَسْأَلُهَا: «كَيْفَ حَالُكِ؟» تَقُولُ: «أَنَا بِخَيْرٍ. هَلْ أَنْتَ فِي الْعَمَلِ؟» أَقُولُ: «لَا، أَنَا فِي الْبَيْتِ. الْعَمَلُ فِي السَّاعَةِ التَّاسِعَةِ». أُمِّي تَقُولُ: «لَا تَنْسَ الْقَهْوَةَ!» أَضْحَكُ. الْقَهْوَةُ أَمَامِي!
English translation
I wake up at seven. I drink water and eat bread and cheese. Then I call my mother. She is in another city. I ask her, ‘How are you?’ She says, ‘I’m well. Are you at work?’ I say, ‘No, I’m at home. Work is at nine.’ My mother says, ‘Don’t forget the coffee!’ I laugh. The coffee is in front of me!
