الْيَوْمَ أَذْهَبُ إِلَى السُّوقِ. عِنْدِي قَائِمَةٌ صَغِيرَةٌ: خُبْزٌ، حَلِيبٌ، وَتُفَّاحٌ. أَشْتَرِي الْخُبْزَ وَالْحَلِيبَ. أَنْظُرُ إِلَى التُّفَّاحِ. الْأَحْمَرُ جَمِيلٌ، وَلٰكِنَّ الْأَخْضَرَ أَرْخَصُ. أَشْتَرِي التُّفَّاحَ الْأَخْضَرَ. ثُمَّ أَرَى زُهُورًا صَفْرَاءَ. أُرِيدُ زُهُورًا لِأُمِّي. أَعُودُ إِلَى الْبَيْتِ بِحَقِيبَةٍ كَبِيرَةٍ. قَائِمَتِي صَغِيرَةٌ، وَلٰكِنَّ حَقِيبَتِي لَيْسَتْ صَغِيرَةً!
English translation
Today I go to the market. I have a small list: bread, milk, and apples. I buy the bread and milk. I look at the apples. The red ones are beautiful, but the green ones are cheaper. I buy the green apples. Then I see yellow flowers. I want flowers for my mother. I return home with a big bag. My list is small, but my bag is not small!
